Description The High Priest of Icthlarin has lots of problems, which he has been unable to solve. He needs your help to solve everyone problems and get Icthlarin back to normal.
Requirements

Must have completed Gertrude's Cat, Icthlarin's Little Helper and Prince Ali Rescue.

Items Needed Tinker box and a unlit torch (Can be bought from one of the guards in the destroyed bank, down the ladder, East of Jex)

To Start Talk to the High Priest of Icthlarin
Instructions

1) Talk to the High Priest of Icthlarin, he can be found by the Altar in Sophanem, he will tell you of his problems. One of them is that they want to lift the quarantine out of the town. He will tell you that they sent a delegation to Menaphos which said that they couldn't cross the bridge, there will now be a cut-scene. Tell the High Priest that you will help, click on all of the talking options and you will learn of a story about the sect of the Scabaras, Tumeken and the followers of the Scabaras.

 

2) You will also learn that the followers plan to build a underpass under the River Elid, he will also tell you to go to a shrine in the North East part of the Town, once there talk to Jex, he is the man who looks after the building. He will be at the entrance of the far North East building in Sophanem. Jex will tell you that scarabs have dug into the building recently; he will also tell you that there is a trapdoor downstairs and how to open it.

 

3) Go East of Jex, you will find a ladder, go down it and you will be in the destroyed bank(Here is where you can buy a Unlit torch). Light your light source and head down the trapdoor into the maze, make sure you have bought your Tinker box with you so you can relight your torch because the scarabs can magically extinguish your it. Also if you fall down a trap door, run as fast as you can to the nearest ladder.

 

4) Once you have entered the maze, use the map below to navigate yourself round the maze. Once you have turned South, then East you should see some Spikes on the floor. If you search the floor and select 'Yes, i'll give it a go', you will be able to pass unharmed. Continue on your path and you will find wall crusher traps, keep walking while trying to avoid the traps. The path will now turn South, follow this until the path turns West. Do not turn South just carry on West, the path should now head north, take the first turn West. You will now see some scarabs, run past them. Turn North then West, Do not turn North but keep walking, now turn south. You will now have the chance to turn East or West, do not turn west so instead turn East and then South. Now that you have turned South, stay on the East side of the path because on the west side there is a trapdoor.

 

5) Don't turn east or west at the first opportunity, instead head south. The path should then turn East, there will be some odd markings on the wall search them and then select 'Yes, i'll give it a go' to pass through unharmed. After the odd markings the path will start to head South, at the junction head South.Now follow the path round, go South then East, then South again.Now west and after that North, now the path will turn West. Don't go North or South, just keep going West until you reach a ladder also keep on the North side of the path when near the trapdoor. When you reach the end of the path, climb down ladder.

 

6) Once down the ladder, follow the path North. Soon you will see Kaleef's body, search it and you will find a scroll. Read it, it will tell you that Kaleef was sent on a mission to speak with an agent in menaphos. You now need to head West and find Maisa, who can be found standing across the chasm.

 

7) Speak with Maisa, she will tell you that Kaleef was her contact and that she curses Osman for posting her. Tell her you will talk to him in exchange for her speaking to the sopenham people in Menaphos.

 

8) You will now need to confirm your identity, to do this she will ask you where Prince Ali was kept when he was kidnapped, Tell her Drayanor Village.

 

9) She will now ask you who help you save Prince Ali, tell her that Leela helped you.

 

10) She will now tell you that she needs to talk to Osman in person, so head back to Al Kharid.

 

11) Osman is located a little way North of Al kharid Palace, once you have found him, talk. He will tell you why he should waste his time trying to help. Reply by saying that it will drive a wedge between the two Menaphite cities. He will now agree to help.

 

12) Get prepared for battle as you will be fighting a lvl 191 Giant Scarab. It is advised to use magic or melee, but it is up to you. Once you have done that return to Osman, who is outside the gate into Sophanem.

 

13) Once you are there, tell Osman to enter the city through the secret entrance, you will now have to watch a cut-scene.

 

14) Once the cut-scene is over, enter Sophanem, go back past Jex, down the ladders and through the maze to where Maisa fought the final battle. You will now have to watch another cut-scene involving Maisa and Osman. You will now have to fight the final battle against the lvl 191 Scarab. The scarab also has lvl 66 Scarab mages and lvl 68 locust riders at his disposal. It is advised to just attack the Giant Scarab, because once he is defeated, the rest will disappear.

 

15) Once you have defeated the giant Scarab, all the scarab mages and locust riders will disappear, now pick up the Keris from the defeated Scarab. Head back to Osman.

 

16) Go back and talk to the High Priest of sophanem to complete the quest.
